Privacy Policy

ImpulseShield is built around a simple idea: your data is yours. This policy explains what the app does — and, more importantly, what it doesn't do — with your information.

Information we collect

None. We do not operate servers that receive your data, and we have no accounts, logins, or profiles. The items, prices, notes, categories, settings, and savings history you create live on your device.

iCloud sync

If you are signed into iCloud and have it enabled, ImpulseShield uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data across your own devices and back it up. This data is stored in your private iCloud database, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We cannot see, access, or retrieve it. If you are not signed into iCloud, the app simply stores everything locally on your device.

Purchases

The optional one-time Pro unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your name, payment card, or billing details. Apple shares only whether a purchase succeeded so the app can unlock the relevant features.

Email you give us on this website

The app collects nothing — but this website does one thing: if you choose to enter your email address in a notify-me or waitlist form (for example, to hear when the app launches or when Family Mode arrives), we store that address so we can email you about that product update. We collect only the email address you type, along with which list you joined and the date. We use it solely to send you the update you asked for, we never sell or share it, and there's no third-party email service involved — it's stored on our own server. Ask us at [email protected] any time to be removed.

Analytics and tracking

ImpulseShield contains no third-party analytics, no advertising, and no tracking technologies. We do not use cookies, device identifiers, or any tools that follow you across apps or websites.

Data sharing

Because we don't collect your data, we have nothing to share, sell, or disclose to third parties.

Your control and data deletion

You are always in control of your data:

• Delete individual items at any time from within the app.
• Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device.
• Data synced to iCloud can be managed or removed in your device's Settings under your Apple ID → iCloud, or via iCloud storage management.

Children's privacy

ImpulseShield is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Since the app collects no personal data, no such information is gathered from any user.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version on this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
